The North County Library is Sarasota County’s second building to be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council LEED program. A Silver Rating is being sought for the facility.
The building utilizes state-of-the-art energy-saving technologies and natural day lighting. The library utilizes a varied of recycled content products including ceiling and carpet tiles. Other attributes include an ENERGY STAR rated metal roof, steel beams, waterless urinals, bike storage, and showers. |
