WCI Communities Builds First Audubon Certified "Sustainable Development"
WCI Communities, Inc., a member of Sustainable Sarasota Community Partners, is the first homebuilder in the U.S. to have a residential community certified as an “Audubon International Gold Signature Sustainable Development.”

WCI won the sustainability certification for two of its
premiere developments: Evergrene community in Palm Beach and Sun City Center in Fort Myers. The model home for these communities contains a

number of eco-friendly features such as bamboo flooring, rainwater harvesting, low-toxic paints, recycled materials and energy-efficiency.

Audubon International is a non-profit organization that works with landowners and developers to promote an environmental ethic in community development. Audubon International and WCI have formed a partnership with the goal of producing lifestyle community developments that minimize ecological impact .
